One-day training workshops will be held regularly throughout the year. They are quality courses facilitated by former colleagues and graduates from Durham University and guest lecturer/trainers from other universities which offer counselling programmes. I will also be a regular facilitator. It is intended that these sessions will provide stimulating and practical perspectives for counsellors wishing to develop their skills and knowledge in a variety of approaches, whilst also fulfilling their CPD requirements for re/accreditation purposes.
Counselling trainees will also be most welcome and the subjects/issues/approaches on offer, will in many cases, be themes not usually included in initial counsellor training programmes. There will be a strong emphasis on the practical aspects of these training days, plus guidance on how one can further develop their skills and knowledge.
The fee for the training days are £100 for qualified, working counsellors and £65 for trainee counsellors. This includes: morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea.
There is room in the Dales Centre’s splendid training room for 20 attendees, so it is vital to book early to avoid disappointment.
